This stylish canopy cooker hood from Smeg has been designed to fit discreetly within your kitchen, keeping your air clean and fresh whilst you cook up a storm. The hoods extraction rate ranges from 190 to 300m³/hour, meaning it will efficiently remove smoke, odour and steam from medium sized kitchens. There’s three speed settings to choose from, letting you select an extraction rate that best suits what you’re cooking up. If you’re simply simmering veg then low will suffice but if you’re frying up a breakfast then switch it up to high for the best results.

The hood has two metal grease filters to trap any airborne grease particles and these can easily be removed and washed, we would recommend cleaning these at least once a month to keep your hood in tip top condition, it all depends what and how much you cook. There’s two bright halogen lights towards the front of the hood which illuminate your kitchen beautifully and they also come in extremely handy for checking recipes by the hob and for a quick check on your pots and pans as they bubble away. Everything is easily controlled by simple push buttons which are located front and centre for easy access.

You’ll be able to install this hood to extract or recirculate air, the choice is yours. If you decide to extract then you’ll need a ducting kit which needs to be purchased separately. This hood has a 150mm ducting diameter. If you’re unable to vent out and you choose to recirculate air then you’ll need a carbon filter to take care of kitchen odours, this isn’t included and needs to be purchased separately.
