Hi Jackie. The heat is distributed from below the fire. It is designed to be wall mounted or free standing. If you were to place it on an oak TV cabinet we would recommend you use the freestanding pedestal provided. Please ensure the TV stand is big enough to accommodate the pedestal to prevent the fire falling and consult the user manual of your TV stand for further guidance. Best wishes, Meg

Hi, we would not recommend sitting this fire directly onto carpeted floor. The soft nature of the carpet would not supply a sufficient support for the pedestal so the fire would be at risk of falling forwards. I hope this helps. Kind regards,

Hi, unfortunately there is no room for a socket to be concealed at the rear of the fire as there is only around 70mm of glass at either side of the fire box. The fire box itself fits flat to the wall. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Kind regards, Rachel

Hi Cath,
The heat is distributed from the bottom of the fire horizontally. It is suitable for a TV to be hung above it. The lighting feature in the fire is orange, purple and blue.
