Chimney hoods such as this Baumatic cooker hood are designed to be mounted onto a wall above your cooker top or standalone hob. I should be positioned at least 75cm above the hob.
The main chimney can be adjusted to suit the ceiling height of your kitchen:
- Minimum extension height: 56.5cm
- Maximum extension height: 104.5cm

The superior extraction tangential motor that comes with the BTC9750GL cooker hood can reach a massive extraction capacity of 750 m3/hr, which is ideal for medium to large kitchens.
This powerful extraction rate can be controlled by 3 extraction speeds. This not only regulates the extraction level for individual dishes, but it also regulates the energy use of the cooker hood, which is useful if you plan to keep the energy bills a bit lower one month.
Touch control
Navigate through the 3 extraction speeds with touch control operation. At a light fingertip touch, you can quickly and easily adjust the speed of the extractor. What’s more, it’s much easier to clean than buttons!

- 1 washable metallic grease filter:To keep the cooker hood at its optimum performance, you can simply unclip the grease filter from the underside of this chimney hood, wash it thoroughly and put it back – simple!
- 2 halogen lights:Not only do these lights ensure that the hob below is lit properly so that you can see what you’re doing, but halogen lights are more powerful than standard lighting, and they use a lot less energy.
Cut-off timer
If you have the extractor fan on for a long time you can forget that it’s on after a while which means you run the risk of leaving it on and wasting energy.
In case you forget to turn off the extractor, Baumatic have given this chimney hood a clever little cut-off timer that will cut-off the power after a certain amount of time for you.
